Team news

Midfield ace Neil Danns is set to keep his place after successfully coming through Saturday's match against Sheffield United following recent back trouble.

Right-back Nathaniel Clyne will continue to play despite a knee injury, while midfielder Alex Marrow is a doubt due to an ankle problem.

Portsmouth's Liam Lawrence is struggling with a calf injury after hobbling out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Barnsley. Jonathan Hogg stands by to replace him if required.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Our home form gives the people around the place confidence but I’ll be brutally honest with you it’s our away form that will decide where we finish in the table.

"I think we have to address that as quick as possible. The teams who do well, get promoted and so on, it’s based on their away form.

"The set up of the team and the mentality of the team has been indifferent throughout the season away from home. Since I’ve taken over we’ve played a couple of tough games on the road, and we’re slowly trying to change the mind set of the players when we travel, but it’s not going to happen overnight. But they’re fantastic guys and I can’t ask for more in my first job."

Kagisho Dikgacoi

"The team doesn't deserve to be where they are right now. If we can continue this same way like we did on Saturday against Portsmouth tomorrow then I think we maybe, come towards the end of the season, we might be in top 12.

"We were delighted with the win against Sheffield United and although team is in the bottom four, everyone is looking forward to taking the team up from where it is right now.

"The Championship is quite an intense league and very challenging but I want to help the team out of the situation they are in right now."
