Jonathan Williams (hamstring) joins the ever increasing injury list for the Eagles - being ruled out for the rest of the season.

Paul McShane is still not match fit so Dean Moxey will look to continue in the centre of defence along side captain Paddy McCarthy.

Southampton will be desperate for a win, in their push for promotion, after only drawing their South coast derby match against Portsmouth on Saturday.

Top scorer Rickie Lambert missed their defeat to Blackpool two Saturdays ago through injury, but played the full 90 minutes against Pompey, so should line-up against Palace.

Tadanari Lee is also back in action after missing four games through an ankle injury.
