Team news

Eagles boss Alan Pardew has been boosted by a return of two of his strikers for Saturday. Dwight Gayle has fully recovered from his hamstring injury, while Connor Wickham has completed his three-game ban.

Recent signing Emmanuel Adebayor is set to lead the attack from the off. Midfield duo James McArthur (ankle ligaments) and Jason Puncheon (hamstring) are still missing for Palace.

Trio Bakary Sako (hamstring), Joe Ledley (thigh) and Yannick Bolasie (hip) are around a week away from a return.

Watford's Troy Deeney and Valon Behrami are set to start after bench appearances last time out. Defender Miguel Britos is doubtful of playing an injury against Tottenham, but Tommie Hoban (groin) and Joel Ekstrand (knee) are still out.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"If you look at the league table, you know the bottom clubs are going to start finding something to play for and start pushing to save themselves.

"We need to have one eye on that situation. Having said that, we're a few points off Liverpool, so we're in the middle and can still push on and have a great season in the league.

"Our points' total is greater than in the two previous years we've been in the Premier League this season, so there are positive to lean on."

Quique Sanchez Flores

"We maybe deserved to win two or three of them, but this is football. We played twice against Manchester City and Tottenham and once against Chelsea so we have to be realistic.

"I am not afraid about the goals. Apart from the match against Tottenham we were creating the same number or more chances than our opponent.

"If we get the next three points we are very close to the objective (of staying up) and I am wishing that this moment is coming."
