Mr E Powell was correct we have rivers of blood in England, you cannot have a faith of other people arrive in their droves to live in peace , soon or later they will put there faith on you. At the moment Christ has lost the war, thanks to the English governments of past.Take a look at Japan did they allow this to happen to please the Muslims.

I'm sure the BNP would pleased to hear your right-wing rhetoric.

Zzzzzzz bore off .
It's people like you as to why the country is in the mess it is with the b******isation of our once great island.
I couldn't care what I'm called or labeled anymore as I know what I am personally but immigration and asylum have become a sick joke.

I'm neither left nor right, both are as bad as one another. So next time, engage the brain before you engage the mouth.

You mention BNP like they are a bad thing. I am a staunch member of the EDL, Our country is going down the toilet fast. Muslims are taking over areas and there will be no going back. Too many English people are more concerned abut being pc than what is happening in our own country. Call me racist or whatever you like but I love my country and want my kids and their kids to love our country. There are areas in England, that English people cannot go through fear of attack and intimidation. Our country is being raped of taxes by foreigners coming here opening shops, not paying any tax, reclaiming any vat they pay 10 times over by copying the invoices, claiming every benefits under the sun and putting nothing back into our system. Its a joke and the arty farty PC brigade defend these people so they don't get labelled with the racist tag. Defend the Muslims until they cuts someone's head off that you know.

Ah the past of England was such a great place, a beautiful land where the English danced and sang and everyone was happy, even the birds sang 'ode to joy'.

Things like poverty, crime and the like never existed. Or did they.

Read 'The Road to Wigan Pier' or 'People of the Abyss' the past was never a better place, not for people like you or me.

They are. They're an awful political party who's manifesto is utterly impractical and would be economic suicide. A popularist party that panders to peoples fears, insecurities and encourages the adoption of utterly unworkable agricultural policy and thinly veiled racist policy, that would decimate the UK economy (give the UK finance industries dependency on foreign investment)

There is not a bandwagon they wouldn't hop on in order to milk money from the public. They make Labour look like a decent choice.

This thread has been very illuminating. Confirmation that the liberal agenda is built up on decade old Internet blurb, assumption, stunning levels of patronising posturing and put down insults based on f*** all when the fallacy of your views is exposed.

The the cycle of tedium isn't broken. Oh no. Kermit resorts to removing himself from the debate when it gets too much for him (he has to post something based on fact) and then re entering with insults. Jamie posts decade old pronouncements from quality journals like the Bristol Gazette. You come up with patronising comments based on...erm...f*** all.

Matt_himself frequently backpeddling and moving the goal post to defend a point dismissed, dismissing anything that affronts his opinion, and blaming the 'liberal agenda'.

I am not back peddling, if anyone has done that, it is you, after you posted decade old Internet stories as factually relevant to present day actions.

You haven't convinced me. I believe you believe the best in people. That is commendable. I believe you want to promote this, which is also commendable. I disagree with you because your justifications, as per this thread, were wrong, outdated and incomplete.

I am not dismissing anything. I have said I am not convinced by your posts and I still am not. I haven't had time to look through the other stuff posted but will do so when I get a chance.

They would of course be date specific, as they relate to specific stories. It would be a bit weird to find a news article for 2014 that related to events in 2007.

Stories in the news tend to be in relation to events when they occured. So a vigil to condemn the murder of Lee Rigby, also included on those links, would be from around that particular time.

Some of them are much more recent, such as the condemnation by Muslim leaders and groups of the murder of James Foley.

I ask the following: the above appears to be reactions to events and reactions to events are easier to do than prevent situations. I don't believe the Muslim community has done enough to prevent atrocities and it appears that the decent people, who abhor the acts, show their disgust after the event. Do you believe that the Muslim community is doing enough to prevent its young being pulled into extremism and if the answer yes, I would appreciate reading something that back up your opinion.

No answer from Jamie, though he has answered on another post later than the above.

Therefore, Kermit or Seth, please feel free to answer on Jamie's absence.

The floor is open.

Wouldn't you just say they could do more, even if I did (and they always could do more). I think there is a problem where Young British Muslim men and women are identifying with dangerous ideology. I think it would be churlish to say otherwise.

I'm not actually sure what the Muslim community can do other than condemn actions of Islamists, and publicly talk about their dismay where kids have gone off to fight abroad.

That said, its important to root out sources of radicalisation, but not by tarring all muslims with the same brush. Also what are we doing to prevent the attraction of Islamist causes to young impressionable muslim men and women, its not just a Muslim issue.

Did I say I was defending Muslims? Typical right-wingers. I wonder if you're off the soapbox and drinking the cool-aid the EDL are selling. You're as bad as the UAF, but then again, I could care less about if people are left and right. The blame lies squarely at Labour and their open-door policy.

I appreciate you came back to me but this response was after you responded on another post later to my post. You could be accused of running from the debate by a man less tolerant than me.

In my opinion, the above says nothing. You say all the Muslim community can do is be 'dismayed' by terrorism caused by people within its own ranks. That to me, is not an answer. When you come to another country, whether for a holiday, to work or on business you try and find a way of cohabiting and showing mutual respect. In my opinion, the acceptance by, and apparent lack of resistance too, the number of holiday Jihadists and acceptance by the broader Muslim community of their most violent acts does not evidence a community trying to rid itself of extremist acts before they happen.

I have said this before, but convince me otherwise. With facts.

Ever been to ex pat enclaves such as Nerja in Andalusia? Seems like the Brits I came across their haven't bothered to learn to integrate.

As for condemnation of IS by Muslims ... There was a programme on radio 4 about muslim led support groups and charities working in areas where parents are worried about their kids being sacked into the IS ideology and successfully bringing these kids back into a sense of Britishness and dissuading them from going to fight in Syria.

Also, a Vatican website seems to have found quite a few Muslim organisations that condemn IS. [Link]
