They burnt their passports they are stateless as far as I am concerned.

Anyone who thinks they are coming back because of a change of heart is a fool, the fight is going south & they've s*** their pants & want a way out.

We cannot allow these people to come back here & risk them being a catalyst to other impressionable sky fairy believers.

I'm happy for them to come back, be picked up by the security services etc and interogated, prosecuted and then spend the next 20-30 odd years in prison for terror offences.

Obviously its important to get the ones who went and joined ISIS, rather than those who may have been in Syria for more humanitarian reasons etc.

I have no problem with those who have gone out there for humanitarian reasons, providing they haven't aligned themselves with the Islamic state or its affiliates. if they have then f*** them.

As for the fighters who want to return why pay for them to locked up for 30 years & see to all their needs? They are all citizens of the Islamic state now & not our problem.

Refusing them access just makes them someone elses problem. Better to take them out of circulation, and then see what we can learn from them and if they can be turned into intelligence assets. MI-5 have a rather good reputation for creating double agents.

Agreed. We can make better use of them here than letting them wander around the middle east creating problems and bad PR for us. Get them back, turn them and set them to work deradicalising and/or grassing on the ones who still want to go & fight.

Martyrdom loses its appeal I suspect after a few years in prison when it dawns on you that this is going to be at least the next 30 years. Maximum Security, Catagory A, Expectional Prisoner status doesn't sound like its much fun.

Apparently there's a new version of the "ice bucket challenge" going viral in the middle east. It's the "burn the IS flag challenge". [Link]

Mr E Powell was correct we have rivers of blood in England, you cannot have a faith of other people arrive in their droves to live in peace , soon or later they will put there faith on you. At the moment Christ has lost the war, thanks to the English governments of past.Take a look at Japan did they allow this to happen to please the Muslims.

I'm sure the BNP would pleased to hear your right-wing rhetoric.

Zzzzzzz bore off .
It's people like you as to why the country is in the mess it is with the b******isation of our once great island.
I couldn't care what I'm called or labeled anymore as I know what I am personally but immigration and asylum have become a sick joke.

I'm neither left nor right, both are as bad as one another. So next time, engage the brain before you engage the mouth.

Yeah I hate labelling people too, especially those smelly lefty mongs.

Ever been to ex pat enclaves such as Nerja in Andalusia? Seems like the Brits I came across their haven't bothered to learn to integrate.

As for condemnation of IS by Muslims ... There was a programme on radio 4 about muslim led support groups and charities working in areas where parents are worried about their kids being sacked into the IS ideology and successfully bringing these kids back into a sense of Britishness and dissuading them from going to fight in Syria.

Also, a Vatican website seems to have found quite a few Muslim organisations that condemn IS. [Link]

Point 1. I am glad our kids are receiving education from a person with such good spelling and grammar as you;
Point 2. You are talking s***e. 'Theres was a programme on Radio 4...', that's going to highlight a widespread and committed effort to rid the Muslim community of extremism, isn't it? Face it. As much as you want to believe that the Muslim community is doing something to root out he evil in their community, it isn't happening. The Muslim community is not rooting out extremism before atrocities happen or their young go off on Jihadist holidays. No one is saying that it is what Muslim patents want, Muslim siblings want or Muslim's want for their friends, but it is happening. The Muslim community needs to recognise this before killings happen whether here or in the Middle East. It appears that most killings there are for being the 'wrong type' of Muslim in the wrong part of the region.

Point 1. Mea culpa - but a) Considering your response is also littered with errors... and b) you haven't responded to the point.

Point 2. I show that there are some people addressing the issue of helping patents (sic ) who want to stop their kids going to Syria which you completely dismiss.

You haven't responded to my third point, so I am assuming that you concede that there are in fact Muslim groups condemning IS.

It's not my job to teach. It's yours and your spelling is awful. It's worrying.

I have never disputed hat some Muslims condemn IS and extremism as a bigger issue. What I have said is that I believe a lot of it is hot air and little action. The amount of holiday Jihadists and the continual funding of extremist grouos by organisations and individuals is evidence for this.

Not answered point 1 again I see. If I was making slight grammatical errors in my job, you'd have a point, but I don't. You are deflecting. Wherever people from one culture/country settle, invariably some don't integrate. However one reason could possibly be because some knobbers hardly provide a welcome conducive to this so they self ghettoise.

As others have pointed out, kids of a certain age will always rebel and make stupid choices, regardless of those who try and stop them. Doesn't make it right though. I do feel though that the anti muslim rhetoric espoused by many perpetuates and exacerbates the problem creating an ever growing vicious circle.

I am not deflecting. What haven't I answered in 'point 1'?

This is where you and I differ. You will instinctively state that non-integration is he fault of he broader indigenous society. I will say that immigrants need to make every effort to co habit effectively in their new, chosen location, be respectful of the society that has granted them permission in it but also have the right to preserve their identity. Implying that anti Muslim rhetoric is responsible for holiday Jihadists is incredibly naive. There is a welter of reasons, one of which, is that sections of the Muslim make it appear a glamorous activity for a young a Muslim to undertake and here appears to be fewer people in the Muslim community making an effective case for them not doing it.

I'm not saying that non integration is the fault of the host nation- but I do feel the attitude of some of the hosts, in the UK 's case far right groups and sections of the media, help perpetuate the problem. It would be facile to say it has no influence at all.

It's not that I mind honest bigots. At least they are sincere. That Petaliator chap, for example.

Christian extremists - the thread title and subsequent posts you are referring to - are homophobes. It's in their mission statement. Or do you want to take a different view on that too?

Edited by Kermit8 (05 Sep 2014 7.28am)

Where did I say extremists? I said Christians. Read things properly.

Yes, I know. I choose to ignore the bits where you make up things in order to accuse these days. You do it quite often if you weren't aware.

You know - 'No back-up facts', 'all Christians are'......etc, etc, etc.

You opt to ignore any facts presented which are contrary to your dubious beliefs and then decide to lie about what I wrote some time ago to entrench yourself even further.

Now that really is, in this context, the definition of pathetic.

I opt to ignore your patronising bulls***. Just because you think something is right, don't make it so and that is something you can't grasp.

You accuse me of being bigoted and ignorant and yet there is stacks of evidence that you despise Christians, Jews and Israelis of all hues, anyone voting Tory or, heaven forbid, UKIP is automatically a racist in Kermit World and your branding of anyone who has the temerity to question you is automatically broad brushed as 'ignorant'. That behaviour of automatically labelling people is prejudice. And you are full of it and projecting your inner failings on to me as a way of trying to deal with it.

If you say so, my delusional paranoid dumpling.
