Peter Taylor
Wilf

For my dad who insists he's the best player we very had its Johnny Byrne

From what I have seen on the TV - Don Rogers (who left the season I started attending Selhurst)

Best technical player we have ever that I have seen and probably the best we will have in my time its gotta be Lombardo - f***ing genius

'Exciting' is a funny old term - I'm putting Yala on the list because he definitely excites (although often frustrates in equal measure) purely because you don't know if you're about to see something really special

in no real order, and only including players I've seen play in the flesh

Vince Hilaire
Yala Bolasie
Wilf Zaha
Attillio Lombardo
John Salako

honourary mention: Craig Moore (controversial choice - but he was really so far above most centre-halves of his time, that it was genuinely exciting to see a player who could bring the ball under control and bring it out of defence rather than the usual method of punting it as far as you could)

Going back a bit I know, but Mark Lazarus if only for his goal celebration, which was usually a complete circuit of the pitch shaking hands with the police on duty on the way.

Sash,
my dad was an ambulance man, moved down here once he met me mum.
Had to go to collect Byrne from training, as he'd done his ankle.
Dad, didn't recognise budgie(he was a gooner & part time O's fan)
Was'nt too pleased.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Bruce Dyer. Electric pace and could twist and turn like Bolasie but occasionally scored a great goal at the end of it. Actually, make that very occasionally.

I'm getting on a bit now but my Dad always said Johnny Byrne was the best Palace player he'd ever seen, too. So my five has to include Budgie, but though Ian Wright has to be my personal favourite in terms of excitement - just down to his wonderful goals - for sheer footballing skill it has to be Wilf...

Johnny Byrne
Ian Wright
Peter Taylor
Don Rodgers
Wilf Zaha
