I feel truly sorry for those who believe their vote honestly makes a difference when the major choices are the same as they always have been......and the same results will duly follow.
Oh well. 'Nowt as queer as folk' as the saying goes.

Whether you vote or not, whether a vote makes a difference or not - the real interest is in the debate surely?

Some find debating a topic that'll ultimately end up changing nothing rewarding. I can't see the point of it personally but I'm glad their happy.

In the last election the Conservatives won 306 seats and Labour 258.

According to the latest polls, Conservatives will lose @ 30 seats and Labour gain @ 20 seats (Despite taking a pounding in Scotland !).

IF this is replicated at the election, Conservatives LOSE so many seats and Labour GAIN so many on the back of an economic recovery there is something seriously wrong. It just doesn't make sense to me. Questions WILL be asked of David Cameron if this happens.

I would HATE to see Miliband walking into 'No 10' - this will be the cue for me to emigrate.

I really don't think the 'economic recovery' matters to many people as most of us didn't cause it yet most of us have - or know someone who who has - suffered because of it. When Gideon comes on screen, sweating out from his latest hangover/comedown and tells us it's all rosy in the garden, I just don't believe him and I suspect a lot of people don't. He is a lizard.

The 'economic recovery' is minimal and does not translate to pounds in pockets of a large % of the electorate. Couple that with the fact that even though the economy is apparently recovering and all is good, there are horrific cuts still to come and Ian Duncan Smith won't even tell us where they are going to come from as he doesn't see it or the electorate that will suffer as 'relevant' (during the election run in funnily enough as it's obviously poisonous). It's scary if you're not wealthy and you hear/read this stuff. The cuts are seen by many as an ideological policy, not a necessary one.

I also don't believe Europe or Immigration is actually as big a problem for a lot of the electorate as the mainstream media or UKIP and their supporters would have us believe.

UKIP polling at 15 odd % seems impressive but translates to under 7m of the electorate, which shows that considering they are a one policy party, during a time when membership of the EU is a hot potato topic, isn't huge support.

I also think that Milliband is winning people over and they can see through the constant personal attacks. The 'debate' last week was evidence of that - most of the questions were about him, his stupid face, or the fact that he 'betrayed' his brother despite openly running against him. Barely any policy discussion and I think a lot of people are more grown up than that and don't see being seen as a 'statesman' as all that important. Cameron is apparently a 'statesman' yet he has been marginalised from pretty much every single international discussion over the last three years. Fat lot of good that's done him.

This is unadulterated garbage the likes of which appear in the likes of the 'Mirror' and 'Socialist Worker'.

It's actually BECAUSE of the difficult decisions taken by the Government in the wake of being left with a dire economy that a recovery has been possible. Of course the work is still not done and more difficult decisions need to be taken to continue the recovery. There is much to be done, we have made significant progress, let's not wreck it by voting in Labour.

I would love to add to this but this will do for the time being. I now have to go out on campaining duties !
