If, and it's a very very big if, we sign him, we really are moving on to the next phase in our transition into a proper Prem club. Still need to pinch myself at how far we've come.

on the contrary, we would be an excellent choice for his aspirations as he'd get a regular spot and chance to show what he's got AGAINST the epl top sides...IMO

IN SAYING ALL OF THIS....to move forward...it's all about continually upgrading. And I have to say, Cabaye is definitely that. So would love to see him at Selhurst. Pep and Bannan are not good enough I'm afraid. Meh. Your opinion. And you're entitled to it.

I think they're decent enough lower half prem players but we should be looking a notch or too above them now.

Not to mention playing for a manager he knows can get the best out of him , his biggest concern at the moment seems to be getting back playing regularly and well ,to get in the french side for the euros, here we have pardew , he would be one of the first names on the team sheet , we are also in London , we have as good a chance as anybody else.

Your just assuming that we would ofer a 1/4 of his wage, when infact his wages are £55k and im pretty sure we wouldn't offer £13k a week.

If his old manager has proposed something to him, he'll at least listen. It is then our job to give him what he wants. Wouldn't surprise me if we offered him a slight pay increase of 60/65k and then pay the money full up to PSG. Then he's got a decision to make. We work hard to sell the vision to him behind the club, offering him a key role and the prospect of a strong premier league side. London appeals, familiar managerial stance appeals, the money will be the same if not better....think about this further.

Adding to this...he could clearly be searching for a move having not played much and them re-investing again this summer....so he looks at his options. If his old manager has proposed something to him, he'll at least listen. It is then our job to give him what he wants.
