Common AP you only have 8 days left to sgn him.

Get off the fence and do a deal, top priority.

It's plainly obvious we're trying to get a deal done on forwards permanently but are probably being knocked back on bids. Therefore they or we buckle or we settle on Adebayor to tide us over for a few months for £1mil cost rather than pay £5mil+ more for a player at the level we could get in the Summer.

I think Remy has always been what we want and holding out for him and eventually getting him would make it all worthwhile.

Based on what exactly? Because it ain't f***ing 'plainly obvious' to me.

What do you want them to do, copy you in on all their emails?

Transfers haven’t been completed but they don't all come off - that is plainly obvious.

Just guess work then?

There's a few possibilities.

1. They're making enquiries and prices quoted are too high.

2. They're waiting for something to fall into place. A sale chain.

3. EB is our plan B.

4. EB is our plan A and we're waiting for no reason to sign him other than to just wait.

5. AP & SP are sitting around playing candy crush.

What level are they on?

Most certainly not European.

I have changed my mind this window and -- not least after seeing Remy yesterday -- would prefer Adebayor. I think if motivated he could be an absolute monster for us. At his best, he is a very high quality player. Remy yesterday looked off-pace, unmotivated and short of match practice. Both come with question marks but I'll be very excited if we get this one over the line. In pure terms, he'd be one of the best players to ever pull on our shirt.

Key word here Syd. Not sure Palace could motivate him. Maybe wrong, but my gut says dont sign him

playing for Arsenal, Man City and Spurs failed to motivate Adebyor! Why on earth would he bust a gut playing for Palace?

For anyone who wouldn't want to see a potential front pairing of Remy and Adebayor is crazy.

We were in administration not so long ago, let's not get too picky and enjoy the times we are seeing unfold in front of us

Can see your point, but just take a look at how many clubs they have had between them!

Are they really the type of players to move us forward? Remy maybe but not convinced by Adebyor.

in my opinion he would be a class signing... and if we do sign him i bet he will finish with more goals than Wickham (which is not difficult at the moment)

a 6month deal isn't bad.
then...
1) he stays with us (if it goes well)
2) he drops down to the championship
3) he goes to America (and i know for a fact the MLS clubs will be lining up around the block for him)

I've got a feeling we may end up with both of them before the window closes...in which case all this panty wetting will have been a waste of wee.

On the other hand I could just as easily be wrong and we end up with no-one new...in which case, empty your bladders into your underwear people, it's gonna be a rocky few months.
