Maybe there were different bullets in each chamber of the cylinder. They only identified two of the four that hit Lennon. Yes, there could have been, but it's rather unlikely that a person familiar with guns and ammo would do that. I guess the thing is that his death was suspicious from the start in my eyes, although it was not a widely held conspiracy theory that I'm aware of. Anything unusual turning up now gets my alarm bells ringing.

Murder is messy and requires the help of people who you don't necessarily want to get in bed with. It didn't save David Kelly, but he made the mistake of getting in the way of a very big and ruthless beast.

I love it when people say there was no evidence of foul play. Because obviously you would expect to find a confession note and a whole pile of forensic evidence at a murder committed by professional assassins.

By a nutjob or by a State is impossible to say. however, what is certain is that Putin, Stalin and some others* want to whack their enemies.....and to do so in the most Public of manners. in order to make an example of them, and thus to send all the little frightened rabbits scurrying for cover. Leon Trotski, Alexander Litvinenko etc...
Machiavelli argued that it was good politics to be feared. And he was probably correct. John Lennon was anti War. How many Celebs are now vocal critics of the War in Ukraine ?
