No one is safe if they become an enemy to the industrial military complex or maybe discover a way to create cheap energy.

How can we seriously believe that JFK, Bobby Kennedy, MLK, Malcolm X, Diana, Marilyn Monroe, Lennon and many others all got killed by lone gunmen, had 'accidents' or committed suicide. It's ridiculous. Plenty have fallen foul of our overlords when they sailed too close to the Sun, and these are just the big names.
