i reckon political assassinations are deliberately done in a manner to cause maximum Publicity. there is no point letting an opponent die quietly in a cell or his own home. Trotsky, Mexico City, Icepick. julius Caesar The Kennedy shootings....JFK and Bobby. that Politician who was machine-gunned during a speech against Pablo Escobar. john Lennon ?

It wasn't that hard to link his new missus with security services and find that there was a delay in calling emergency services. Also that she pretty much went straight off the radar.
