There was a lad live on tiktok the other night who was the Brother of Sports Scientist at Palace, I'm guessing Phil Hingston. When I asked if he had any inside info from his Brother regarding transfers he said the last time he spoke to his Brother he said he wasn't hopeful of many incomings. May be total BS but thought worth a mention.

We are about to get Franca for 20+ million, and I will not be surprised if we sign at least a couple more.

I did wonder to myself why Roy took on another 12 months, he didn't have to but he can't resist. With his experience in the game and having already worked with Parish no one can fool me he doesn't know the score.

I like this analysis, what worries me is can we react to losing someone else from the squad. Franca is the Zaha replacement. Fine. Who can we get to replace Olise at this late stage?

We should have had some of this addressed by now.

Franca won't be playing wide. We need a winger, ideally two. Other weaknesses full backs and, as usual striker. If we got two good wingers, I'd almost overlook that as they should have goals in them. And we know that Clyne, Ward and Mitchell can do a job - just not great by any means. But I don't see us getting two wingers anyway. I expect Eze to go wide, maybe Ayew on the other side. Cover currently Edouard and Schlupp. That sounds exactly like us frankly. We'll improve if/ when Olise comes back - if he's still here. If not - back to square one. Winger needed. Red and Blue Army!

Franca won't be playing wide. We need a winger, ideally two. Other weaknesses full backs and, as usual striker. If we got two good wingers, I'd almost overlook that as they should have goals in them. And we know that Clyne, Ward and Mitchell can do a job - just not great by any means. But I don't see us getting two wingers anyway.
I expect Eze to go wide, maybe Ayew on the other side. Cover currently Edouard and Schlupp. That sounds exactly like us frankly. We'll improve if/ when Olise comes back - if he's still here. If not - back to square one. Winger needed.

I have already said, the king stays in the middle if Roy has any sense, he said Eze has been given licence to express himself, he is a No !0, not an 11 or an 8, tinker with him and you take away the Eze magic
