At the back end of his career Tarantino has decided to remake history so Inglorious b******s is about Jews kicking Nazi arse, Django unchained is about slaves killing whitey slave master and Once Upon A time in Hollywood is about how Sharon Tate doesn't die and the Manson gang get their bloody comeuppance at the hands of Hollywood actors.

So to answer your question it depends on whether you like Tarantino in my opinion he only made one good movie Jackie Brown the rest have been OTT.

Django is well over the top but it has its moments. The dentist is cool and some of the people along the way quite funny. Mr Big is ok, Samuel L does his best to be somewhat different. I enjoyed it - wouldn't take it too seriously. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is good fun too - in places.

I've been in the Crystal Palace saloon in Tombstone, the Palace saloon in Prescott, Arizona where Steve McQueen shot a fight scene in Junior Bonner and stayed a night in Yuma on a driving tour. We left before 3.10.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

aside from fiction, the Ken Burns Documentaries about the Gold-rush were amazing. 'The West' was a brilliant series.

Cities that burst into existence overnight, and often, were abandoned just as quickly.

what other fact-based programmes ( or YouTube) can you recommend for that Era ?

I used to hate The Little house on the Prairie, it was so nice it was unreal, it was hardly the Wild West, more like the woolie west

One of my all-time favorite series, with Pete Duel or Roger Davies.
