So it came to pass - no one likes to see it..!! Payback for Vieira..!! If we’d only have beaten them last weekend, as we should have done - they would been bottom of the league on 1 point..!! If you believe what you read - both Leeds and Leicester have said should the case be proven - they will both be sung Everton for £100M each..!! That with the deal with the new owners not done - and them declining to comment on the current situation - plus new.ground not paid for and current cost at £760M and still climbing- things looking decidedly bleak..!! As I said no one likes to see it..!! COYP

Seeing Everton deducted points is great. They aren't very nice. I feel like the league have done this at a good time for Everton because I expect them to stay up even with ten points knocked off. The question will now be whether the rule makers have the bottle to chuck Man City out of the league if the allegations about their activities are upheld.

On the Everton points deduction a lot depends upon what happens next with any legal claims for compensation from the clubs that were relegated, substantial damages could derail the takeover & force Everton into administration & another 9 point deduction which would probably end up being a nail in their proverbial PL coffin.

A delayed compensation case wouldn't help Everton as its doubtful any prospective new owner would want to take over whilst legal proceedings remain inconclusive. Originally posted by YT

Yes fully agree, whilst legal proceedings are on going then the club will have to make provisions in its accounts for any future legal costs and likely compensation awards. Not something a new owner would be happy to take on!
