We will be only missing Ayew & Schlupp, for Ghana will go, if picked.

Just Ayew then , Schulpp hasn't been picked for years after falling out with the manager when he asked to be omitted for personal reasons . There was then a rumour that they told him to pay for his own plane ticket if he wanted to turn up for the next one . Basically they have fallen out .

Im up for us getting six points from our next two matches and the doom and gloom will be replaced by worries of Man City coming in for Ward in January .

And we still need a striker

Apropos the winner, Mitchell got drawn in to a narrow position allowing a great deal of space on the flank.
The Luton player under no pressure crossed into that so called 'Area of uncertainty'.It would appear that Andersen expected Johnstone to run out and collect but he did not advance and Brown stole in to slot home from close range.Abject defending.

It started way before that as Luton walked through our non existent centre midfield .Same for the first goal that led to the corner

i was critical of Palace's performance again Burnley as it was a classic non football one and many told me to stop criticising as we won. Well 2 games on and many of those people are now really moaning.

The 2 goals we conceded on Sat were a joke really, and i'm not sure some of our highly paid players are as good as they think they are.

The squad is so poor in so many positions that we are now in big trouble.

Sadly, I think you are probably correct, frankly I can really only see a couple of points from 0-0 draws between now and the new year. At which point we will be looking over a shoulder worrying about that 18th spot!

Optimism amongst our supporters has ebbed away possibly to the extent that many simply do NOT look forward to watching games at Selhurst Park any more.

Only last night an erudite gentleman was enquiring about our club and he commented that I wore the face of someone who had a rotten kipper placed under ones nose.My response was an avalanche of negatives with doom and gloom very much in evidence.

Dear Willo, Yes it is all very sad for us all, sadly complacency in our transfer dealings or (lack of them!), an unrealistic expectation on what the academy may or may not yield has really landed us in a potential very difficult position. I feel the whisky bottle is the only cure for my sadness at the missed opportunity!

Perhaps sinking several large shots of the most intoxicating fluid available is the answer to erase all the anguish !
I feel in a mood to visit a 'Public House' with sobriety not on the agenda.

Agree it will just be Ayew on African cup duties, however, as this was known on the summer it beggars belief we didn't reinforce on the left side after Zaha's departure.

Hopefully Roy will talk to the fringe players (especially the newer and younger players) that this is their chance. My other worry is that there aren't players in the needed positions to do that.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Could have picked up Andros on a free. Currently on about 12k a week at Luton.

Would have been a useful squad addition.

I apologise.
I said that Ayew turned his back on the ball for the first goal - it was Schlupp.
Also - goal two - whilst Andersen and Johnstone were at fault, the goalscorer ran through because Ward was not the right side of him earlier plus he never tracked him either.
If he had stood goal side just 5 seconds earlier then no run and no goal - schoolboy defending from all of them.

totally agree. How can the Luton guy manage to take 2 touches for the first goal despite being surrounded by Palace players.

For the 2nd whilst i think Andersen has to take most of the blame why didn't Ward just run across and block his runner, or at least slow him down. Schoolboy defending indeed
