Don't take viagra before getting on the bus

I've been offered a seat on the bus maybe twice. I swear it's my beard because I'm still f***ing hard.

I ride a GS scooter with my hair cut neat
I wear my war time coat in the wind and sleet.

Wonderful !

Only recently I attended a grassroots football game and when I approached the gateman I uttered "Concessions". He glanced at me and tittered, believing I was engaged in a josh, and charged me the full adult entrance fee.
When I advised him that I was actually entitled to the concession price and could prove it by showing him my bus pass he was most apologetic, but I told him he had paid me a compliment !

Good for you!!
During first lockdow, went into local Supermarket,at a special time set aside for the 70+ range to do their shopping and was refused entry as was carrying no I D to challenge their decision.

When buying alcohol and the cashier doesn't give you a second glance, just immediately confirms you're over 18.
Kids complain when they're asked for ID. At my age, it would be a compliment.

Clearly you are fresh-faced with no jowls quivering like port jelly.

A few years ago I was flying to Amsterdam with my wife and a policeman approached me at the airport and asked if I would stand over to the side. Naturally I asked him why and he said there was a football match on (forget which) and they were screening all passengers under 25. I was well chuffed since I was about 55 at the time.
I was waiting quite happily until another copper came up and asked why I was there - he then apologised and called his colleague a "bloody idiot" and sent me back to my mocking missus.

When people are less ripe in age, there is a proclivity to be somewhat coy about how old they are.I have known some in their late 20s and 30s who cannot abide reaching their 30s and 40s.

Once people reach a really ripe age eg 80s, and perhaps slightly younger, they are only too pleased to share their age with all and sundry."I am 84 you know" etc etc.

I for one have never been averse to admitting my age. My dear mother (Now deceased) lying in her bed in a Nursing Home once told my dear wife I was born in 1962 but I entered this world in 1952 !!

At the age of 70 I would be quite happy to be waking up to my 50th birthday. One thing for sure is that you'll be turning 60 in what seems a blink of the eye.

If you want to stay healthy and lively do review your life style - do you eat good natural foods and do you exercise regularly? I firmly believe those two factors are critical to your well being , both physical and mental.

Also be open to new adventures in life and embrace some new experiences. Energy levels do drop a bit with age but it shouldn't be that much of a drop in your 50s if you take good care of yourself.

Some posters are of the opinion that it's not worth giving up some of those things that are supposedly bad for you just to live a bit longer. The problem is that you may continue with the unhealthy activities but survive anyhow. Okay that's great if you are lucky and can still maintain good health, but if you find yourself incapacitated by the those bad habits and see out your latter years with a serious decline in the quality of life that's not so good.

If I was just turning 50 I wouldn’t hesitate going to tonight’s game with the heavy rain happening as I write. Instead I’m 67 with a ticket and thinking the match is on tv :-) Will I or won’t I?

Ridiculous statements.

No one needs to go to the gym it is contraindicated.

A large % of people have no energy for numerous reasons with the main ones being poor diet & sleep also stress.

Hrolf The Ganger comment about quality of life is spot on 40-50 is when people tend to start having disease/illness impact life especially if they have abused themselves for decades.

Lose weight and go to the gym is ridiculous for boosting energy. Ha ha. You’ve obviously never trained.

You say a large percentage of people have no energy because of poor diet (lose weight), sleep and stress (go to the gym)

If this doesn’t help get your testosterone checked , as low testosterone symptoms are ,among others, poor sleep and stress/anxiety.
