One of the joys of turning 50 in Australia is you get to the "poo test" every 2 years to test for signs of signs of blood where it should not be.

Is this a thing in the UK ?
Did not though notice much difference from my early 50's tpo my late 40's but as i am approaching 60 tasks ( like getting ready for work ) take longer now.

If I was just turning 50 I wouldn’t hesitate going to tonight’s game with the heavy rain happening as I write. Instead I’m 67 with a ticket and thinking the match is on tv :-) Will I or won’t I?

Well I'm 70 and I didn't even bother buying a ticket on the basis that I could do without another 8pm KO, the weather would bound to lousy, there would delayed trains ( I have a 90 mile round trip) , and it would more than likely be a dour game. I don't know whether there were any problems on the railways but I was spot on with my other concerns.

I didn’t bother, I just think the older I get the lazier I get, it’s a bit of a schlep up from Kent for me and I just can’t be bothered sometimes despite having a season ticket. Age has made me very impatient and I can’t stand sitting in traffic or sodding about with trains these days
It’s the one time I miss living in South Norwood or Bromley, on match day

Famously, Boy George confided that he would 'prefer to have a cup of tea than to have sex'.

he must have got to his 50's earlier than most ?

That’s exactly what my wife’s grandad used to say when he was alive. Everyone worried about him because he was 80 odd living in a downstairs flat in a rough estate in Tulse Hill. He used to say if the b******s get in here I’ll stick a knife in them, what they gonna do to me? Put me away for life?
