It works well in Rugby, the difference is the respect the players show the officials. I am favour.

Where is the like button

Why , because it works well in a completely different game ?

Its madness

And we still need a striker

A reasonable article on the subject by Martin Samuel in today's Times. Yes, it's a different game Elpis, but it's true to say that attitudes towards the ref are very different too. Samuel is making the case for blue cards to be shown for dissent, which was what I was trying to state earlier in the thread. If it deters players from trying to influence the ref it would be a good thing.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

No need for a blue card it will any compilate the game . A yellow card could be the same , sin bin for ten minutes . I understand that if you get two blue cards you get sent off , just like two yellow cards . So why have an extra card .

I get it but thats what yellow and red cards are for . As a ref (im not one) it is in your power to send from the field of play anyone showing descent toward an official .
The attitudes are different because the laws are not enforced . Tell the ref to f off in rugby and your gone , do it in football and he runs in the other direction .

We dont need to mess with the rules , just enforce them

Part of LAW 12, states : Any Foul Or Abusive Language Directed Towards The Match Official, Will Result In A Dismissal

Well there you go. Just do it and it will soon stop .The sin bin really is an awful idea for football . On top of the already mentioned problems can you imagine the uproar when players coming back on cold pull up with hamstrings popping . As if we haven't got enough problems

According to lower league refs where this has been trialed who came on talksport they were in favour and said it works well.
Football could learn alt from rugby, concusion protocol, and clear explanation of decisions by the ref for example.

I can see why it might work in lower leagues where a calm down could work better than sending a player off and getting people angry .Its not the laws of the game though ,if they want to make up another sport I say crack on but leave mine alone .

The concussion stuff is fair enough ,anything that can be learnt from anyone to protect players is a good thing .

Anyone especially those that have followed the game for as long as I have doesn't need an explanation from the ref as they would know by his hand signal on giving the decision or the lino by his flag position. The problems arise when var gets involved and nobody in the ground has a clue whats going on . Simple solution get rid of var .

I'm fed up with all the Var time making me miss my train no matter even more extra time with the blue card time.Missing my 2nd train option and having to watch more s*** football. And are they trying at being a bit sneaky to slip Ads in on televised football during blue card arguments eventually.
