Should be riled up against Burnley, up for stuffing them for his hometown club

In terms of the next game, if he's fit then 100% yes.

In more general terms, if we plan to play with two holding midfielders (3-2-4-1 morphing from/to 3-4-3) then it looks like two from him, Doucoure, Lerma and Ozoh. That's assuming everyone in that list is fit, match ready and staying at the club.

There might be a case with fitness and form to give the others a go at some point. It might also be the case that we play a different shape and/or that some of these players, including him, can play higher up. But for me the first two starters in that list are Wharton and Doucoure at this moment in time.

Of course, unless glasner sees something in Hughes he prefers, in which case they should sack him before he starts

Without question, is clearly absolute class and has the potential to be a full international.

Thankfully, Hughes is injured. so this strange KO on a Saturday, we should see some intent. The lad has got good vision & gets stuck-in, makes a few mistakes, but rarely.

I see Wharton as more of a box to box player as opposed to a DM though if he is to be given one of the DM roles it will be two starters , Wharton and someone else .

And we still need a striker

And there’s us saying it’s always our best players that get injured

For me he'd be first on the team sheet. Boy has the natural talent to go all the way to the top.

I predict he'll be our highest ever transfer fee.

I think realistically, to give Glasner the money to buy, 1 or 2 will be sold, maybe Wharton and Lerma/Ozoh/phillips are good enough and sell Doucoure, i hope not, Wharton and Doucoure would be world class, i would rather lose Olise and and one of the CBs, Olise because of his injury history and with Glasners formation maybe someone like Smith-Rowe with Eze would work with the two behind the CF, and the 2 CDs contracts are up in 2026, i think Andersen is about 35m and Guehi about 70m, so i would offer Andersen a big contract and sell Guehi, theres over 100m for Glasner, still has Wharton, Doucoure, Eze, Andersen, Johnstone, Munoz, JPM, Ayew, Richards a decent team to add 3/4 quality players too
