Spot on, Why was that fool on Gallaghers case from the off... I noticed that straight away ... Weird behaviour from (Nobodies) Friend....#
Penalty my freakin arris ...
"He,s blind, He,s Deaf. He shouldnt be a ref .. Kevin Friend, Kevin Friend...
If you see my post on the match thread, after what was little more than a clash of shoulders, Friend blew up for a foul and then was backing off Gallagher, wagging his finger at him and saying "be careful, be very careful" like he was going to be looking to card him at the earliest opportunity....
"Numb, gutted and shocked . Three words that sum up how I feel." "Passionate, principled, genius. Three words that sum up Joe Strummer" Martin Scorcese, Film director.
The FA got the result it needed to keep interest in their product alive. No money to be wrung out of a competition that is virtually over in January. I've read enough on the "footballisfixed" blog to understand about betting syndicates in SE Asia, the FA's promotion of the game, and Liverpool's large fanbase over there. I've seen enough games with repeat dubious decisions not to be extremely suspicious of Friend's decision making yesterday. Once a referee goes to VAR, he had damn well be correct with his decision because the whole world is watching. Yesterday Friend exposed himself as being either extremely incompetent or corrupt; it's either one or the other. Given the numerous decisions that went Liverpool's way, particularly their second goal which was clearly offside and interfering with play and the penalty which all and sundry, fans, pundits, ex-players, even Clattenberk himself (!) has said was never a penalty, I'm leaning to the corrupt side of the equation.
Gallagher is arguably our most influential player / wins most balls back off the opposition / drives with an energy to disrupt the opposition - supports the attack on the edge of the box, having the ref shackling him with a verbal warning in the first 30 seconds, .......... well draw your own conclusion's.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but something feels very plausible about this. The money men drive the PL, and Liverpool winning was good for them.

Formula 1 blatantly managed to engineer a last lap title decider, so why not football? Does make you wonder sometimes
So appalled by some of the refereeing decisions yesterday that I was moved to register! VAR was set up to reduce the number of mistakes that would affect results and presumably cut down on bad feelings towards the referees. Seems to have achieved the opposite on both counts. Maybe, referee assessment and appraisal needs to be more transparent and decisions explained more openly post match. Might help diffuse some of the frustration and ill-feeling that results from decisions like this.

Me to. It’s happening not just to Palace but across the board far to often . To many decisions now are not just incorrect they are farcical. That pen didn’t need a second look , and if it got one it was clearly not a penalty, So how did it become one? The off side should have got a second look. So why wasn’t it called off side. ? If ,Friend and Pawson are that bad.. they shouldn’t be let near a top game. But of course we know they will be. These two need a stewards inquiry.

The game at that point was strongly in our favour. Arguably this would have upset the narrative that Friend was going along with. Quite clearly Jota alters trajectory to run into Guaita, it's there for all to see and all who have seen it have remarked upon it - Jota ran purposefully into Guaita. Friend can see it, and yet he still awards the penalty. From an empirical point of view, i.e. his decision making throughout the game, it is not difficult to reach the assumption that the game was corrupted by a corrupt official.

Definatley corrupt . Along with the t*** that was on VAR, I was expecting us to lose or draW to tell the truth , but to get mugged and robbed is different . At least a mugger will look you in the eye when he robs you and not hide behind the FA .

He couldn’t get off the pitch quick enough. Not only, possibly corrupt but a coward too
