Managers should not, in my opinion, criticise players in public. A managers job is to fully support his team. Staff will always try harder if they work for a loyal manager. A managers job is not about appealing to the supporters it is about getting the team to play as well as they can. Public criticism is a sign of weakness in a manager not strength.

Apart from this I think TP is doing a brilliant job and I like his straightforward interview style

Very good management to state this publically at this stage of the season. Referees will be watching and if it helps us get just one 50/50 decision in the box before the end of the season, because subconsciously the referee won't fear being duped by a dive, it could make the difference between us staying up or going down.

We said the same under Coppell. Once we've established ourselves we will change, but after 4 years in the old first division and then the prem we didn't. Indeed but as people have been saying, I don't think it is unreasonable for us to play some sort of passing football. Look at hull for example, they play nice football and keep the ball well, but also play long balls to Jelavic and Long and it becomes less predictable, whereas we rarely pass the ball, it goes to Delaney who just launches it 10 times out of 10.
