[Link] That's a report about 14,500 people joining the Labour party since Corbyn the unelectable was elected. It doesn't include those that were 'barred' from voting, as they still remain members of the party having paid their 3 quid.

Interesting that he's asking the public to send in questions to ask David Cameron during PMQ this week, not sure if I approve. Not sure if it's a bit gimmicky. Truth is, mp's represent their constituents, so should know what constituents' concerns are. Parliament is a place for airing this, mp's are their constituents mouthpiece. Thats what they're paid for isn't it?

Tis pleasing to see that Corbyn has appointed a shadow secretary for mental health. A societal problem for which help and solutions are massively, massively underfunded.

Lazy f***er. Also said he's going to give other MPs a turn at it, which would indicate he doesn't want the PM to expose his foibles.

How can you appoint a shadow anything, for a ministerial role that doesn't exist?

Optimistic as ever

Nick.... as I said on the other thread.... the next PM in 2020 will be decided by the electorate, not by who has the most party members.

Labour supporters are most likely union members too and joining the Labour Party costs £3 doesn't it?

It will still be down to whoever is the most credible party leader.

At this stage it is difficult to imagine Corbyn overturning the general public's concern about Labour's economic credentials... especially as he's appointed his best mate as shadow chancellor.

McDonnell is an excellent choice. I've been banging on on here for ages about the failures of austerity. At last we have someone in a prominent position to put proper arguments forward against it.

You should be pleased that the government have an opposition at last, not like the Tory lite last lot.

Surely we will not need a Chancellor of the Exchequer under a Corbyn government as we will all be reduced to bartering?

What failure exactly - austerity is working - even the IMF changed their tune some time ago.

Gusset - I completely agree with you. I am pleased with the opposition.

Imagine thinking Diane Abbott being in the shadow cabinet is anything other than a truly sh*t idea.
