Has a good left and right foot which is 100% essential for a modern striker. Good in the air as well. I think this one will pay off; it's not like we don't have some excellent competition for him in Gayle, Bamford, Murray and Chamakh.

Not sure how accurate this is but a few people on Sunderland forum reporting the deal is off. Personally I think he would be a good signing. We have an attacking team that eclipses Sunderland and with the service he would get from us he will score goals.

Coming to London today for talks, according to SSN: Connor Wickham will travel to London on Friday to discuss personal terms with Crystal Palace ahead a move to Selhurst Park, according to Sky sources. The Eagles agreed a £9m fee with Sunderland for the 22-year-old forward on Thursday night and manager Alan Pardew will hope to wrap up a deal to make him his fourth signing of the summer.
