London was once so peaceful that the Krays had notoriety.

Today ? an equivalent sh1tshow of a crime organisation to the Krays ? ....it would look like smallfry. Invisible in a great big sea of crime.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

I was up by the river the other Friday in the walrus & carpenter, they were serving "Campden Hells" a lager, I was a bit dubious at first thinking water from Campden town but I have to say as Lagers go it was really very good, a bit like a poor mans Stella -

I have to say that struck a chord with me ^^^^

When the old geezer was alive, Youngs were always rooted in Wandsworth. As soon a he kicked the bucket they uprooted the firm to a place where the water was totally different and everything just tasted 'bitter', if you'll excuse the pun

Just about every lager is brewed under licence which is just as bad.

On a more serious note, TV panel shows/sitcoms/comedians in general. Seems to me that meeting diversity quotas and aligning to woke zeitgeists for seal like clapping from individuals lacking life experience and/or intelligence is now mistaken for comedy. Mock the week died with Frankie Boyle but has gone downhill rapidly for one example.

Panel show guest is a job now. There are several people on an endless loop of all points from QI to Mock the Week.
QI in particular presents many guests who can barely contribute despite being spoon fed lines. Maybe they're all capable of putting on a dynamite live show but I'll never find out.

When she first appeared on the scene I used to like Katherine Ryan but nowadays every time I switch the TV on she's on

Sports Personality of the Year .
Stopped watching year ago because the winners seemed to have no personality at all .
Need to change the name of the program to Sports Person of the Year .
Now with the woke lot it will get worse .

Same. I don't begrudge the England girls winning this year by any means, but it's just a bit pointless really as a concept and so subjective. Sporting achievements speak for themselves, that's kind of the point. Getting an award that says 'and we like you too!' is surplus to requirements.

What measurement are we talking? I've noticed the same trend over the years unfortunately.

Like giving a knighthood to an actor just for surviving past middle age.
