Seen paper talk that we would accept 60m for Guehi.

Nothing south of 100m would be enough.

Future England captain and reminds me of Bobby Moore in his composure bringing the ball out from the back.

Sell a combination of either Guehi, Anderson, Olise, Eze, Doucoure in the Summer and fund the new stand.

Sell the “Crown Jewell’s” to build a “New Palace” - that’s a novel idea..!!

For 40,000 capacity in the Championship?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

In what world are we in the championship? Haven¨t been there the last 11 years and we won't be there this year so how is your post productive?

My tuppence - I think that the construction will be paid for by shareholder loans to the club, without a requirement to sell certain players to fund the build, any players sold during that period will be because the deal will be right for the club + player at that time (for example Marc going to Real Madrid for a £ Gazzilion) rather than as a consequence of the project, the shareholders aren't daft & recognise the difference in income between the PL & the Championship is huge -

Where I do think it will make a difference is in future transfer windows where any external expenditure will be viewed as an absolute last resort & only utilised in extreme cases to ward off pending relegation.

I prefer Selhurst Park as it is (but improve facilities needs doing), rather than some off these soulless stadiums in middle of a trading estate.

Off the topic slightly, but I don’t understand why we don’t use Marc Guehi as a left back - freeing up space in the middle.

He has played left back before - we have other options in the centre.

Yes he is but Southgate has played him at LB and if Hodgson were to do so it would enable Richards to come in at CB, Richards has that extra height and has decent speed. Not a bad shout from VH IMHO.

I like to think we could squeeze a little more than £60m for him.

Richards is an able replacement to step up. Would imagine Holding can do a job if required. Tompkins I'm not so sure.

£15m to spend on a young replacement CB, £25m on a striker and hopefully £20m+ left to go towards the new stand.

I hate to see us sell our best players, but we need to learn to be savvy when in this position. It's served the likes of Brighton pretty well.

My guess is that he'll want to stay until the summer to guarantee game time to cement his spot in the England euro's squad. If he plays and has a blinder at the Euro's his price tag will go up. Hopefully Parish and co recognise this.

Some papers say 25% sell on others 20%, no one knows, and no way will he go for £55 million

Initially I thought there was no sell on, just Chelsea had first option to match any offer. Who knows!
He will leave next summer, of tgat I am in no doubt. We must be looking at £80m

Lazy journalism IMO. The only condition reported at the time we bought him was that Chelsea had the right to match any offer should we decide to sell the player. I recall Chelsea were surprised we were willing to pay what we did for him.
