Iain Dowie reckons he is benefiting from CLINTON MORRISON's passion for Palace.
Republic of Ireland striker MORRISON was in fine form again on Saturday, scoring one and setting up the other in the 2-0 home win against Burnley.
Dowie was delighted with MORRISON's display and said: "CLINTON was outstanding and he did everything.
"His running was great, he works so hard and the finish for the goal was first class.
"He's a real asset and I'm so glad that we have him here.
"Other teams were interested in getting him but I was always confident he'd come here.
"He's a big Palace fan and so is his mum and I think that if I hadn't got him she would have gone bananas."
Dowie was relieved to get back to winning ways after the midweek defeat against Brighton and said: "No-one was more upset than me in the week.
"The amount of letters that I have received from fans has shown that they were upset too. But we can't go back now and I'm sure this win will help.
"The crowd were a little bit edgy today but they soon settled down and now we look forward to Liverpool in the Carling Cup."
