Eagles striker CLINTON MORRISON is the latest player to back Steve Kember to become the new Crystal Palace manager. Kember took over from the sacked Alan Smith and steered the club clear from relegation in the last two games of the season.
With two away wins over Portsmouth and Stockport The Eagles rescued themselves from relegation and players are now pleading with chairman Simon Jordan to install Kember as full-time manager.
After Dougie Freedman, CLINTON MORRISON is calling for Kember to be given the job on a permanent basis.
MORRISON said: "I know Steve has been unlucky before when he took charge of the side as caretaker boss.
"He has been magnificent for us this season and I would definitely like to see him get the manager's job. He is a great person and a diehard Palace man."
About being linked with several Premiership sides he said: "The fans know I want to play at a higher level, but I am happy to continue learning my trade at Crystal Palace.
"I am not going to jump ship at the first given opportunity. I am happy to stay at Selhurst Park for the time being."
