Manager-less Crystal Palace conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 at Barnsley.
Assistant manager Lennie Lawrence and coach CURTIS FLEMING took charge of the first team after Dougie Freedman's departure to Bolton today.
And Palace got off to a fine start, with Glenn Murray continuing his good form by putting his side into an 11th minute lead.
Jonathan Parr charged down the left wing and crossed for the striker to fire past Ben Alnwick - his eighth goal of the season.
The Eagles defended stoutly for the majority of the game but came undone in the 86th minute when Barnsley grabbed an equaliser not long after Kagisho Dikgacoi's cross-cum-shot hit the post.
Barnsley midfielder David Perkins collected a loose ball and curled into the top corner beyond Julian Speroni.
The draw leaves Palace in fourth place and stretches their unbeaten run to nine matches.
