Darren Powell's injury sustained in the match against Portsmouth is not as bad as first feared.
Powell hurt himself headering the ball in the first ten minutes of the match. Treatment from physio GEORGE COOPER was not enough for the defender to continue and he was substituted after 20 minutes.
His injury was diagnosed as acute torticollis, which is a locked-up joint in the neck. This meant that his neck was very stiff and hard to move.
The former Brentford man has already received treatment, and is hopeful for a starting lineup place against Coventry on Saturday.
