Glasgow Rangers manager Ally McCoist admits he is interested in Crystal Palace midfielder NEIL DANNS.
DANNS, 28, is out of contract and has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Rangers' arch rivals Celtic and Championship outfit Hull City.
McCoist said: "I would describe DANNS as a box-to-box midfielder with good physical attributes and he should be suited to Scotland. Everyone accepts we need more numbers in our squad - we need more strength in depth."
Palace have offered DANNS a fresh contract to stay at Selhurst Park but assistant manager Lennie Lawrence is not hopeful he will sign.
"We would love NEIL to stay and the offer remains on the table. But in reality it looks like he's going," he said. "I haven't heard he has definitely signed for anyone else yet, but it is looking that way.
"I think he's hoping to get a smaller Premier League club and I think that may well be the case."
Palace are tracking winger Danny Green and centre half Scott Doe from Dagenham & Redbridge.
Palace boss Dougie Freedman is also reportedly after Nottingham Forest striker Joe Garner and Southampton winger Oscar Gobern.
