Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman may decide to give on-loan Blackburn striker David Goodwillie a full debut. The manager will check on Mile Jedinak and Kagisho Dikgacoi who were on international duty for Australia and South Africa respectively in midweek.

Midfielder Jonathan Williams could feature after his recent a calf injury, while captain Paddy McCarthy is out for an extra month with his groin problem.

Charlton forward RICARDO FULLER could make his first start against his former club. Matt Taylor is still missing with a foot injury, so another former Eagle in Leon Cort is set to stay at centre-half.

"I had 13 months out with my back injury and my surgery and rehabilitation, and I went to Palace because Charlton didn’t take up the option to sign me. After I finished my rehab, I had three months of trying to get my feet back on the ground and trying get back into football within a match situation.

"I could run all day, but when you go into football situations, it’s totally different. I knew the reason I didn’t have as much of an impact as I should have had at Palace was that I wasn’t fit enough. I needed more games and more training sessions with the team to be able to gel."

"It's been a while since we had a derby game against Charlton, but the players are feeling good. We have new players who have not played in this game before, but I know they are all looking forward to it.

"It will be a big game as we haven't played against them for a while, but we're all expecting a great match and hopefully we can get the three points. Charlton will have momentum from winning League One last season and the same happened with Southampton last year when they came up.

"They have started well, so they will be looking to win the game, especially at home. They will try to make themselves very strong there, but I hope we can play well against tough opposition.

"The Palace fans are always great wherever we go away from home and we don't feel the pressure with them supporting us, so it will be great to have them there on Friday."
