That we beat Borough away in the final game of our glorious season where we won the Championship at a canter.

This was a great day out. I remember it well.

It was the penultimate game, I went and they played we are the champions on the pa system after the game for the palace.

Last game was against Watford, lost 2 nil and think that was last game of standing in the holmesdale

I was at that game at Luton too. We scored within the first minute or two and about the only other thing I remember was Eric the Ninja going on a run from his own box deep into Luton's half. Just kept going and going, I thought he was going to walk it into the net but when he got near their box he didn't know what to do any more and meekly gave the ball away IIRC!

And I recall that there were no pubs in the vicinity of the ground and we had to walk quite a way to find one.

I might be wrong but I think the Luton manager at the time was David Pleat.

Was def "the last stand" - was there great day even if we did loose to Watford. League already won - no pressure. (Twenty years later similar situation. )

Yep. I wasn't at the Boro game but I remember that last match against Watford. We'd won the league easily and I was in the Arthur instead of where I usually stood on the Holmesdale. Felt strange to look at it and all the people on it and think of all the times I'd stood there in the rain and snow watching Palace struggle through.
