Just watched the BBC footage.

So an unknown and apparently aggressive bloke grabs the horse’s bridle and won’t let go. But the media thinks the lady trying to get him to release the terrified animal is in the wrong.

Still, enraging people makes for more media hits dunnit.

Some men would pay good money to be whipped by a woman in jodhpurs.

Apparently Sussex police are appealing for witnesses - I hope they get them and the bloke is prosecuted for endangering the rider, shame she didn't hit him harder!

Incidentally, I'm not a fan of fox hunting, but there's only one victim in that footage, and only one protagonist

Part of it. I regard fox hunting as cruel, and have a lot of sympathy with Hunt Saboteurs, but if you're going to get physical with them, you shouldn't be surprised if they'll get physical with you.

Same rules apply. If you go in 'swinging' don't complain when people defend themselves.

Rather than just legalising fox hunting again, which no one wanted or needed, they should have legalised both Fox Hunting and Hunt Sabbing.

Shouldn't have been banned in the first place, but the re-legalisation wasn't necessary either.

My thoughts exactly.

I think the reason people get fussed about is that a fox is a small brown furry animal very much like a dog. I don't think they'd be nearly so worried if it was a four-legged car full of chips.

The fox feels nothing. It's made of string.

Do you think trolls feel pain?

I assume you are thinking of the 'fox' that is dragged with scent.

In reality wild foxes are a completely different beast to our relatively tame urban fox and not to be trifled with. But I can't see how anyone could agree to chase it in fear of its life and then have it pulled apart by dogs.

Meanwhile the horse could have been in real pain, it probably had a strong bit in and being tugged around by the reins is pretty dodgy.

I wonder if the law would view this differently if the sab had grabbed the lady not her horse, then pulled her around in circles by the arm.

Surely there is some ancient law about not interfering with a lady's horse, probably attracts the death penalty as a minimum.
