Goodness knows what brought this back to mind, but, reading about people's favourite players from the past, I suddenly thought of that curious announcement that we used to hear at home games, normally in the second half I think. Ding-dong went the alert single, followed by "Mr Park has left the stadium". What was that all about, and why does he no longer come to games?

Willo South coast - west of Brighton. 03 May 23 5.10pm
When there was an incident in the ground EG Fire, electrics etc etc over the tannoy a coded message would summon 'Mr Park' to attend the specific location.When the incident had been dealt with the message was "Mr Park has left the stadium". The relevant authorities knew what was meant by the 'Mr Park' messages.

When I was a Kid I used to think Mr Park was one of the turnstile operators .Mr Park has left the stadium meaning no one else was getting in LOL . Later I thought it was something to do with plod giving instructions /coded message ect . And we still need a striker
