Yes it was a good set of results for us tonight but as Plaistow Eagle said on another thread it doesn’t matter who beats who it is very much in our own hands. We just need to get 3 wins as quickly as possible to calm all our nerves down so who beats who becomes irrelevant.COYP

I will be shocked if Forest stay up. Madness this year at the bottom of the table.

A win on Sunday is badly needed because it is nerve wrecking looking at that table. 4 teams on 27 points.

Southampton and Forest looking increasingly anchored by their fixture list. Only 3 of Forest's remaining 9 are at home and one of them is Arsenal.

18th spot is looking like it'll be a real scrap. It could well require 38-40 points to stay up this year unless someone implodes. Leicester might be doing a mini implode and the manager market looks weak - Bournemouth at home is enormous for them on Saturday.

Our next two are both must not lose. 4 points would be wonderful.

Yep.

If, big IIIFFF, we win on Sunday, I might just concede we will probably be alright. That JPM last minute winner is starting to look absolutely gargantuan now as I suspect all goals will in forthcoming games.

Leicester looked awful, I really do fear for S'ton. Forest and B'mouth both look in massive trouble, I am not too worried by Wolves and Everton, WHU and Leeds all look far from guaranteed to secure safety although I am less optimistic they will go down.

Roy has certainly brought hope boosted by our run in. In our own hands now certainly and we started off as best possible. COYP

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It will be interesting now to see if Steve Cooper gets the bullet. No wins in 8 and a woeful performance tonight.

Leicester V Bournemouth on sat. A nil, nil would be great. Saints have man city. Forest are away at resurgent villa.

I had leicester down for a point tonight so not good for them. As we saw they are very poor and have 8 points from their last 12 games. They have dropped from 13th to 19th during that run. If they don't beat Bournemouth sat they could be heading down!

I know some of you may think this mad but, 'previously' under Roy and Ray at this time of the season we were safe and looking for our beach towels and flip flops. So that new exciting way to play football from the back good ehhh?

we are safe already under Roy, a proper manager, if we had sacked the Fantasist months ago, we would be well clear, our best player has his mojo back, enthusiasm and belief, throughout the team, think carefully about next season, no unproven manager, someone with a history of some success as a manager in England, and no untried European players with no premiership or championship history of success. that is a lottery.

Any suggestions Lanzo . Personally id like to see Lucien Favre but that is based on nothing . Would like to see someone put some fire in their belly's . Roy and Ray seem to work well a bit like good cop bad cop . Good results for us tonight .

A relatively reliable guide this time of season is GD. Ours is not good. However, there are considerably worse and 3 in particular. Forest, Bournemouth and Southampton. Those 3 for me. I think Leicester will survive by the skin of their teeth just because those 3 teams are even worse than them.

For us, people suggesting it is a cup final on Sunday are exaggerating its importance. A draw would be brilliant.

Yes GD is a pretty good guide, simply because on the balance of probability the worse the goal difference, the more defeats you've suffered and the fewer wins you've achieved. However, many people (not you) agonise over goal difference whereas in fact the final PL relegation slot has almost NEVER been settled on GD.

Tut, tut, to Plaistow Eagle, for he should have said "who beats WHOM"

Sometimes momentum can be important, and we now face a Leeds team that's coming off the back of a win last night. But then we won our last game too!
