Was living in West Norwood when I left school at 15.First saw Palace in 1963/64 when I was 16 my local club had to support them.Did go in the army at 16 so did`nt see them for a while.Made up for missing them for a lot of years, got a season ticket go all the time now.Support your local team, you know it makes sense.

I blame it on Croydon Council. When I passed my 11 plus they sent me to Lady Edridge Grammar School. As an 11 year old girl being next to a Football Club, the players of whom in those days trained in the car park, was amazing. I took my young brother with me to matches when I was 12 and he was 5. We have both supported since although he lives in Somerset and cannot get to games very often. I am a season ticket holder (as are my husband and son) and although we have lived in the Brighton area for many years still go to all our home games and some of the away ones....and yes we did get tickets (from a corporate contact in Brighton)for the game at the AMEX! I wear my red and blue scarf with pride whenever I am in Brighton - much to the annoyance of former colleagues.
