You're very naive when it comes to football aren't you? It isn't as simple as you make it out. In the modern game players won't look at a clubs history and be honoured to sign, they'll sign for a club that is better positioned in which they can ply their trade in the Premier League, because that's where everyone wants to be. If Jay Rodriguez became available tomorrow, would he sign for us or you? He'd choose us because at present we are nearer to where he wants to be.

If your debt wasn't worrying you one bit, why was Coyle having to make do with scraps? Why is Freedman having to do the same now? Craig Davies is an uninspiring cheap option.

Facilities only get you so far, you may have elite status but what's your coaching like? If your academy was is so highly rated then why haven't you blooded through anyone worth note in the last 15 years? Has there always been up and coming youngsters at Bolton or is it just now, because you've found out it's elite status and have become blindly optimistic about it?

So what if you have a better stadium, you couldn't fill it in the top flight, what chance have you got now? It's going to be a soulless half empty stadium until you get some big success and your locals decide to chuck their United tops in the bin.

Are your gates big enough to pay off the debt, even out the wage bill, bonuses and bring in players to push you on? Bolton are between a rock and a hard place, I actually sympathise with Freedman for taking the job, you're going nowhere fast.

I'm not just being optimistic about the academy as its now elite, we've invested heavily into it over the last 3 years, I know we will start to produce very soon.

Of course I'll be at selhurst, I am a loyal fan.
