Had a fright this morning. Opened HOL on mobile and on the front page there's a big picture of Pardew. I didn't see the headline at first, just him. Being relieved it's a season review is an understatement. Phew.

I can only re-iterate that such selection processes can be very detailed and various factors come into play which can elongate the whole matter.And they can be very frustrating for those who have to "Seal the deal". So please don't engage in any "Blame game" in respect of Steve Parish for not making his mind up, dithering etc etc and all that pilaver. Edited by Willo (19 Jun 2017 9.50am)

Are we now putting ourselves in a difficult position with perspective managers? If we have conducted initial interviews but still not made a choice the candidates may walk away. I have gone for job interviews which are followed by a clear dragging of feet by the employer because they aren't quite sure/think someone else better may come along/I'm second choice, Didn't this happen with Tim Sherwood a few years ago?

He'd cut short his holiday, sort out the palace contract and discussion. Then finish his holiday afterwards. I think that parish preferred choice is pellergino. Just a hunch. Pellergino wants to see what's on offer from Southampton.
