The reasoning for that is that Palestinians have no protectors or anybody who could could conceivably change their plight, other than Hamas. Israel cannot destroy Hamas they are widespread 'Young Mr.Grace' (Biden) really does not get it, it is not relevant if Israel's dubious claim re: the hospital bombing, is proved correct. It is the world's perception, that they did it, that is.

It is not an exaggeration to say that people who are pro-Palestine, in any political sense, are pro-Hamas. Hamas is the elected government of the currently prominent chunk of Palestine. Hamas may have been elected by the people of Gaza but that was back in 2006/7. Not sure there have been elections since, so there is hardly a democratic process in situ in Gaza currently.

Something about the whole “Gazans don’t support Hamas” thing doesn’t make much sense. We’ve seen thousands of Palestinians are willing to die fighting for Hamas. In Gaza, though, they live among the people. Why don’t we ever hear of people giving their lives to take them out?

It seems a bit paradoxical to expect any individual who feels terrorized to condone terrorist action supposedly on their behalf. My guess would be that a large swathe of these peoples want nothing more than anyone else, on both sides, to be able to just get on with their lives. The sh!tshow that has and is playing out now is only reflective of the whole situation, in it's deep rooted and historical ambiguity. The end result is therefore almost inevitably civilians being massacred by the unresolvable political stances. It feels as though some sort of uneasy truce is the most hopeful aspiration, and that will only last so long as the most dissatisfied party is willing to put up with it (as we're seeing now). I'll stick with my original statement that it's incredibly tragic, all round and for all peoples, but I do not know enough nor am I intelligent enough to determine an ideal outcome. That seems virtually impossible from my quite ignorant seat.

This is close to the truth. You even come to like your torturer if he offers you the occasional crumb of mercy. Sadly, Hamas see those people as pawns in their game.

It is like saying I am ad item with the Tories who are elected but not by me. Equating the 2 serves only to assuage your conscience and allows you to support Israel without reservation and irrespective of what they do.

Have an independent review by experts from eg Malaysia under UN auspices and perhaps it will serve as a colossal own goal for Jihadi Palestinians. The only reasons they might not open their doors is the protection of secrets, or it will open the floodgates to further outside intervention for any future events. Actually I can quite understand the last one. However, based on pretty much every Israeli I have met, there will also be a strong helping of outsider hatred spiced up with a heavy dose of bloody minded arrogance and obstinacy.

The Catholic community in Northern Ireland didn't against the IRA and the protestant community didn't against the UVF/UDA. Also, to say that the only innocent Palestinian is one who has taken up arms against Hamas is absurd. What of those who can't?

Astounding media screw up. It was just an Islamic Jihad rocket that fell in a parking rocket. The media flamed a global hysteria by uncritically laundering Hamas propaganda? If the media didn’t do due diligence on a story of this magnitude, they can’t be trusted for anything. The Middle East started protesting because they thought Israel had bombed the hospital parking lot. Now that it’s likely to have been Islamists, nobody expects a wave of indignation against them. There’s no winning over Arab public opinion as long as it’s this tribal.
