This would have to be a major let down if QPR have been leading us on.
The worrying factor is the amount of speculation this deal has had surrounding it. It’s possible both parties have been playing hardball.
But making that public is not the way a genuine deal usually gets done. Let’s hope it is all click bait. Because £19.5 mill Is where it was always going so in that respect, it looks like this was never more than an extended contractual situation being conducted , with a lot of unwanted guessing being done by journalists. Having accepted a figure QPR would have to have been pulling a stroke all along if they pulled out now.

I shall comment in general terms.

The buying club can meet the valuation of the selling club's valuation of a player EG £20 Mill.There can then be an offer on the lines of £15 Mill + add-ons taking the figure up to £20 Mill which might of course NOT be acceptable to the club selling the player.Furthermore the proposed add-ons might not be acceptable in terms of their detail.Let's not forget the payment terms as well, spread over a period.
Transfer deals can be somewhat complex!

It was his Uncle I sat with when I was last at London Rd in December for their 1-0 home win against Bolton Wanderers.
