I didn’t state it as a fact that the youngsters would thrive under other managers. I said other managers are prepared to give youngsters opportunities (e.g the teenagers at Newcastle and Brighton ) who are persevered with at Premier League level and are flourishing. None of our youngsters have started at Premier League level this season , and amongst their limited opportunities they have been thrown on against Newcastle, Spurs and Arsenal when we’ve been losing with little or no chance of coming back into the game. Not exactly a fair crack of the whip. Some or all of them may not succeed in the fulllness of time, but I can virtually guarantee if they do succeed it won’t be under Roy. He said in the post match Everton press conference that chances for the youngsters in the Premier League are likely to be ‘few and far between.’ I do believe they would have more opportunities and encouragement under e.g a DeZerbi or a Howe, but I guess we won’t find out until a new manager is appointed.
Given Roy's rigid tactics and his importance on team shape, it does make it harder for youngsters to come through.
A new manager would, you hope, play a different way which would enable young players to actually start games. Should that manager think they are capable of course.
Next manager? Be interesting to see if anyone wants the job tbh as we're a fooking mess.

Of course they wont. Even if Roy sees out the season they wont have been playing under him for long enough to become a regular. Especially when our first choice players start to return from injury. Ayew is on his way back as I type this. The last paragraph is just silly. We are unlikely to get lucky with the appointment of a great young manager like De Zerbi. Eddie Howe turned Palace down when we were in the Championship so both are poor examples as they are unlikely at this point to play under either. You can believe they (or any other) manager would give our youngsters more encouragement and opportunities but I just dont see what you are basing this on. Its obvious you are letting a personal dislike of Roy to cloud your judgement. I'll repeat (maybe for the third time) what we see on match days is probably about 10% of what the coaching team see over the working week. Granted the actual match is the true acid test but do you not think 46 years experience and seeing far more of these kids during the week than you do plus all technical data and stats at his disposal, getting to know them individually and assessing their strengths and weaknesses qualifies not just Roy but the entire coaching staff to know just a tad more about what they are doing than yourself? You are absolutely right that a different manager might decide to use one or more of these kids more than Roy currently does. I believe it was Roy that decided Aaron Wan Bissaka deserved a run in the team when Wardy got injured and decided to keep him there. I feel its not that Roy doesn't rate these kids. Its that he needs results and does not feel that these kids are currently ready or as good as senior players that he has at this present moment and the coaching staff do not feel they have the luxury of being able to blood them in the first team and let them learn on the job. Palace fans are amazing at getting behind our youngsters and will not be a problem but mistakes will inevitably happen that will cost us. They obviously see enough of them on the training ground to feel the risks outweigh any benefits.

How's that going? 3) I didn't suggest we'd get a young manager like DeZerbi;I just gave him as an example of a positive manager who will play youngsters knowing that, in his own words, 'they will mistakes.' His message to them seems to be 'Dare to Dream.' Roy's message seems to be 'Dare to Dream...and you may get a few minutes at the end of a game we've already lost.'
