Eze is the closest thing to a Brazilian player outside Brazil. Only better!

Southgate has really missed a trick here. Guehi, Wharton, Eze and Olise should not only be in the England squad, they should all be nailed on starters.
Oh and Mateta and Olise (if England dont want him) should be starters for France.

Nah far better to take slab head, Phillips, perhaps even Sterling I mean he scored today. I'm sure they wont let England down.

We will be last on MOTD tonight.

Yeah, we will be, that's normal. Also another observation from final score tonight on bbc1. We only scored 5 against villa, we ain`t pulling up big enough trees for the muppets at the bbc.

Villa were embarrassing, they had no answer to Olise. All they could do was foul and bring him down, Costa should got a straight red for pulling Olise down raking his achilles with his studs on purpose, right in front of the ref.

Best team we have had since Wright and Bright era, when we finished 3rd. Different era now, so cant compare, lets just hope the team doesnt get broken up as it was back then.

That'll be chock full of surprises with maverick Gareth.

another team thats had an off day against us . Its funny how many have said that recently .

Whats really been impressive for me is how few chances we have been giving to the opposition .
Even if our new found goal machine has an off day we still have a good chance of getting a result by not giving much away .

I left home this morning at 6.30 , drove an hour and a half to Dublin then an hour flight to Gatwick a train from Gatwick to East Croydon From there to the Travelodge, then walked 40 mins from the Travelodge to Shelhurst Park and back again , was it worth it . It was absolutely the best game i have been to in the last 10 years , the atmosphere was electric it gave me goosebumps, the singing didnt stop from before the whistle went till the final one went . I got talking to a few guys in the Holmesdale lower in the front row , they were half pissed but such fun , really made me feel welcome like long lost friends, you just dont get that in any other club. What made it sweeter was the plane was full of Arsenl fans giving it large on the way over . Love it love Palace .

Palace were breathtaking today. Villa had nothing to play for but they were still quality and fought hard. Best performance I have ever seen (started 1969)in terms of relentless quality football. And that includes 5-0 vs united in 72? And 3-0 vs Blackburn to win play off and 4-3 vs scousers in cup semi at villa Park in 90….cup wins under big mal at Leeds and Chelsea maybe closest. I fearguehi is resolved to go but if he does and we also cash in on edouard n henderson is it too much to hope to keep this side (w Sam Johnstone)together for one more year and see what’s possible (plus Franca n doucore back fit?) Coyp. Brilliant day again. Ollie is a very good manager I think
