In fairness I think you could make a great film or novel out of a transgendered James Bond. What you can't do I think, is just drop a transgendered Bond into a story, and do nothing with that. Same with Dr Who. If its just a woman acting in the same way as a man, its pointless. Like a said, Transgender James Bond is a great story / movie waiting to be told. Pertwee and Baker were the best and fortunately fell nicely in terms of my age for me to appreciate them. The show started going downhill during Baker and didn't recover until Ecclestone. Tennant did OK and then it trailed off. My dad says Hartnell was good and I remember being scared of the Ice Warriors during the Troughton era when I was around 4 or 5. The Cushing films were a bit rubbish I thought. Just remakes of TV episodes. Cushing was better at sinister characters.
