ive found out it has pins. Its not what is in the picture on the link i attached. It just looks similar as is the same shape and is blue. It is on the wall to power some sort of machinery I believe. Someone I work with believes it is 450v and should have a cap that covers it but didn't..

a) if it's blue its 230V not 415V
b) if it's pins and it's live whoever installed it is a f***tard.
c) could help more if you take a picture of the actual thing that gave you a shock, not a catalogue picture

Other girls may try to take me away,
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

Probably, especially if you are gay, black, a woman or disabled - preferably all four.

I use CeeForms every day and have never got a shock from one!!, both single phase & three phase, they are industrial connectors & are very safe.
If you do have a Male connector on the wall then this is a "death plug" and I have only ever seen this before on a fun fair ride!.

If as you say you do have a male connector on the wall then you wouldn't have a cover over it as it doesn't have one, but to get a shock and not blow the system, trips and breaker etc would mean all the standard fail safes have not worked.

to prove all of this is your employers fault is difficult, if it is a rented building and he has not installed this connector then I don't really see how it can be his fault you got a shock from it.

get your self checked out as if you have tissue damage it can be a while before the full effects can come to light.

whatever happens you should tell your manager that there could be a issue with the electrics and they need investigating as you really shouldn't get a shock if a electric system has standard protection.

This is what I got electrocuted by at work. I had dropped my own and as I picked it up I touched the blue thing and it shocked me. (someone has now put tape over it as you can see but it wasn't there before i reported my shock).

I can see a iso breaker there!!!

this is extremely dangerous and would question if it was installed by a electrician!!

ensure the breaker (the yellow box with the red key)is in the OFF position

On the wall. It was set to on. I've just taken them pictures and then coincidently someone at my work place has just taken a electrician upstairs so I am guessing they are here to put a cap on or something...

Wow, there is no way that should be installed like that, even with an isolator. It should be a socket (the part that recieves the pins) so you cannot stick your hand in there and get shock.

Exposed live conductors is definitely cause for a claim. That isolator should have been isolated and locked off, also. Is there a risk assessment for the building?
