I remember as a kid bucking up the courage to knock on his door for his autograph. He used to live on Bromley common down the road next to the bus garage.Nice bloke. A really accomplished full back whose career was ruined by a George Best horror tackle against Fulham Quote Dulwichsteve at 24 Aug 2015 12.09pm

I saw him play for California Surf in '78 while on a school exchange trip. Couldn't believe I had traveled all the way to California and watched an Ex-Palace player. I also seem to remember Phil Holder playing for the opposition.
