Hi fellas, Just thought some of you might be interested in this piece on Cuthbert Ottaway. Not sure how many of you will be aware of him, but Ottaway was England's first ever captain, when they played Scotland in November 1872. Palace were the only current Football League side that Ottaway played for, with Old Etonians, Oxford University and Marlow being the three other clubs he played for. With the former two, he played in three consecutive FA Cup finals, winning one. He was also an exceptional cricketer and all-round sportsman, but sadly died at the age of just 27. Anyway, for any of you interested, the article is here: Cheers. Attachment: Cuthbert-Ottaway.jpg (82.23Kb)
