Great watch, Wlad could have killed the match in the 6th.

Joshua is an Olympic gold medalist, who should he be fighting after 18 KOs?
If he wins tonight then obviously this fight should be happeneing? How many people does he need to knock over easily to fight a great Ex champion that got beat last time out by a fat Gypsy?

18 KOs against fighters who were mainly fat f*cks who he wouldn't even have as sparring partners does not make you good. This is exactly what I was talking about, a load of KOs does not automatically make you world class. The guy is in experienced and should not be going for a world title fight.

Bit weird shifty , your writing that he's to inexperienced to have a world title fight, but he was already a world champion and tonight ( after your post) he won another title.

AJ is by no means the finished article but he doesn't shy away from the battle and there's no one else around of any worth and possibly better than him so good luck to him. Strange that for decades the Americans had heavyweights giving their life and queuing up to dominate but not anymore. Must be quicker ways to escape poverty.

Now Joshua has to hope the other belt holders either fight him or bottle it before handing them over. This is what annoys me about the sport, but I bet the other 2 belt holders take the pay day.

Good luck to him, this fight was good because they're both nowhere near the top of the history of heavyweights, but the division has lost it gradually over the last few decades.

The Klitschkos will be in the hall of fame and rightly so. Mate. Dominated the heavy weight scene for 15 or so years. Vitali only ever beaten by cuts , Vladimir 10 years undefeated. Quality both of them. AJ hopefully will dominate the division for years to come.

Yeah fair comment. I just see a better era when there's a defeat and a rematch and title won back and that sort of thing rather than total domination. But you're right, Wlad is a quality fighter, which is why I was surprised at how the odds wrote him off. Then elsewhere in the world his odds are shorter. Then midway in the fight it becomes rightly more even.

I like both their styles. Actual boxing rather than windmill stuff or waiting for only 3 punches to win a match. Just a shame it's not like 30+ years ago.

I think AJ is a tad lucky, he looked finished in rounds 7 and 8 and I felt Klitschko was completely on top. I noticed 2 of the judges had Joshua winning on points, what fight were they watching? Joshua was being schooled up to round 10, a Joshua points win would have been a travesty. Fair play, he regrouped, found a second wind and finished it in the 11th.

Fantastic fight

Amazing fight and delighted for AJ.

That being said, I think Tyson Fury will be licking his lips at that. To be perfectly honest I thought the difference in boxing class between the two fighters was vast, AJ's footwork is almost non existent and he is quite one dimensional. Ultimately Wlad's age caught up on him but Fury is still young and a very underrated boxer. Needs to improve his overall game, if he can do that and keep the power he'll be unstoppable.
