We need to do a rebuild and come on Roy is not the man to do so he doesn't even have any involvement in the likes of transfers. He sticks with same people over and over again who are mostly the older players then wonders why we get so many injuries. He has no interest in youth only using them when no other options are available. Here is a simple example of him why is Kouyate still playing as center back when we have many natural players available that can play their. The guy is past it he had a good solid group of players to work with which is why we are in position we are in and even then he is not even using them to the best they can be.

I think it would be a surprise to see Roy leave prior to the end of the season and have resigned myself to that idea now. With 22 Pts from 17 games, we are well on our way to safety, however this has to be the final season with Roy. I feel like it makes sense that after 3 seasons (or so), he will leave at the end of his contract and Crystal Palace will say thank you and he will retire - a very positive PR story. I think we all can see he is not the man to take us forward and it's clear as fans, there is a large majority unhappy with the style of play and lack of ambition within the club. We just need to put up with this for the 2nd half of the season. I sincerely hope the club will be using the next 5 months wisely before the season ends to seek an exciting replacement manager and identify a few young prospects to join our ageing squad. I'm optimistic that 2021 will see change at the club - although this is just my thoughts! I have no inside knowledge.

This is what I expected to happen last season, given Hodgson's contract due to expire and the appalling final run of games. Perhaps Parish needed another season to sort things out back stage, and considered Hodgson a safe pair of hands. Who knows? If Hodgson is still here next season and the out of contract players have had their contracts extended, I'll question the ambition of the club.

I am Pro Roy for the simple reason that I understand that the club's current level of ambition on the playing side is to stay in the Premier League. And he delivers that. Yes, a change will have to be made at some point. And if you are looking at a 2-3 year plan for the required overhaul of the squad, then it would make sense to entrust that to somebody that's more reasonably likely to see it through. That will require Parish changing beyond the short termism that exists at the moment. It's down to him.

A very healthy attitude and neatly much sums up all my decades supporting Palace. Usually a pretty bleak outlook with occasional brief glimpses of sunshine. If we reckon it's grim now then just remember some of those much loved managers from the past: Alan Mullery, Alan Smith, Alan Pardew, Trevor Francis, Peter Taylor, Paul Hart, George 'I'll have another if you're buying' Burley and Frank 'here one moment gone the next' de Boer. Having said all that I still Roy should call it a day rather than waiting for the telegram from the Queen.
