I just don't understand the reason why they are still doing it. If it's cos of perceived injustices in football then I'm confused. I think now it has reached an impasse and perhaps needs someone to say enough cos it's lost it's initial impact and seems like going through the motions. At least it gives SSN and Talksh1te a chance to move on from banging on bout the Ferdinand/Terry incident from 9 years ago to discussing this for the next fortnight!

Its unsurprising the football club with one of the highest levels of BAME residents, massive rates of crime, and massive rates of poverty, and are showing the biggest amount of opposition BLM. They are being universilly condemned and no one is asking why they did it. Clinton Morrison is the only person I've heard so far saying "all lives matter" and he wants to go and speak to them. Everyone else just sits in their ivory towers in middle England. They've got no idea what goes on in places like Bermondsey, they might go to Brixton now and again for novelty value. None of these outraged social commentators can work out why people in high crime areas are so outraged about the level of tributes to the death of a criminal in some backwater American Town, yet they continually call for social cohesion. Millwall supporters represent the most disenfranchised demographic in our society.

The rationale is that there are general societal biases against black people. The fact that middle class people don’t see it much is largely because of who they mix with, where they live and work and their social milieu. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist I will say what I always say. Ask your black mates how it feels to be black. Especially any who aren’t middle class. So football is trying to take a lead. I didn’t see these complaints relating to Kick It Out, so maybe the image is making people feel uncomfortable. I think that’s the point, it is meant to. Edited by Mapletree (06 Dec 2020 9.29pm)

The image to me, of kneeling is subservience, it is not racial. It is like Hitler going past and the masses saluting him in their subservience with the fascist salute. I get why this happened and have no problem as a one-off, but it is now a political statement and has no place in sport.

I'm working class and work with people of all colour and creed. I'm also engaged to someone who is not black but is BAME. I take on board your points but i feel it's just getting too much at the moment especially when I watch/listen to channels that are meant to be discussing sport rather than social issues every 2 mins.
